3 Of The Best Folding Highchairs
There's a lot to think about when you are expecting a new baby, you need lots of new equipment and you need to make some wise choices when you are making these purchases.
If you are looking for a highchair for your baby you will know that there are lots on the market to choose from. Some of them look really cool, but, looks aren't always everything they need to suit your requirements too!
Let's face it, babies and toddlers are always growing, and can be on the messy side at times, so you are going to need a high chair which is easy to clean, and will 'grow' along with your child. Add to that the ideal requirements of versatility, adjustability, storability and most importantly comfort for the child then you might have found the perfect highchair for your baby or toddler.
I've being researching equipment, that new mums will need for their babies, since finding out that I am to become a Granny, and here I show you, what in my opinion are 5 of the best high chairs on the market today.
1. iSafe MAMA Folding Highchair
My first choice would be this practical and easy to use high/low highchair. It is suitable to use when your baby is able to sit independently, which is around an age of about 3 months.
You can adjust the height to suit different table heights, and I also like that the tray and insert are removable and can be set in any one of 3 positions that will give your baby more room as it grows.
The seat has a vinyl pad, available also in Apples or Blue Circles design, which means that it is really easy to wipe clean any spills etc. as you baby learns the art of feeding itself! Another plus with the seat is that it reclines which is great if the little one is feeling a bit sleepy.
Ideally I would prefer it if the folded size was slightly smaller but I can forgive this because it ticks all of the other boxes.
2. Graco Contempo Folding Highchair
To be honest there's not much to choose between the features of this Graco Contempo Highchair and the iSafe MAMA above. Both have tray inserts, in fact Graco state that their insert will go in the dishwasher, both have adjustable heights and a reclining seat.
But, unless you really prefer the colour and look of the seat pads on the Graco, or the fact that this model is on wheels (which can be locked), I would probably choose the iSafe and save myself around £40.
3. Infantastic® KHST03-1 Baby High Chair
This foldable highchair has wheels on the back legs, which makes it easier to move around with the baby sat in it.
Again we have the tray insert for easy washing, 5 height settings and 3 recline positions. You also get a storage net, which sits below the chair, to
It looks to fold up neatly, but at the time of writing the information seems to suggest that it is bigger folded up than when erected... It'll be a clever manufacturer that can achieve that ;-)
I like the fact that all 3 units have the tray inserts. When baby has finished eating you can remove the insert for washing and still leave them with a playing surface.
This highchair is also the cheapest of the 3 units, just beating the iSafe in price.
